Africa is gearing up to host a landmark event that promises to shape the future of sustainable palm oil supply chains across the continent, The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), a global non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable palm oil production and consumption, is set to host its highly anticipated Africa Supply Chain Forum 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa, from April 16th to 18th.
The three-day forum, hosted at the Protea Hotel Cape Town Waterfront Breakwater Lodge, will bring together key stakeholders from the palm oil industry, including growers, suppliers, retailers, and policymakers, to discuss and address the challenges and opportunities surrounding sustainable palm oil supply chains in Africa.
The forum’s agenda covers a wide range of topics, including RSPO supply chain membership, certification standards, business rules, market communications, and the role of downstream supply chains in supporting smallholder farmers. Attendees can expect insightful discussions, expert panels, and networking opportunities that will foster partnerships and drive positive change in the industry.
